¡@¡@ The Ministry of Foreign Trade and
Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) issued Announcement No. 48, 2002 on Nov. 19, 2002,
which provides that conclusive safeguard measures shall apply to cold-rolled
thin plates (sheets), hot-rolled thin plates, coated thin plates, non-grain
oriented silicon steel plates and cold-rolled thin stainless plates (sheets) for
three years as of Nov. 19, 2002.
¡@¡@ At the request of
interested parties, and based on investigation and verification on the data
provided by the interested parties, MOFTEC issued Announcement No. 6, 2003,
which provides that out-quota duty rates on some of the steep products first
listed under the Conclusive Safeguards shall not apply as of Feb. 1,
