Industry and Commerce, State Taxation Administration and State Administration of
Foreign Exchange announced on Mar.7, 2003 the temporary rules for foreign
investors to buy enterprises inside China, which will take effect as of Apr.12,
2003.
¡@¡@The temporary rules for foreign investors to buy enterprises
inside China is to encourage and regulate foreign investors coming to invest in
China, and to import advanced technology and administrative experiences from
abroad, so that to perfect the economic environment in China.
¡@¡@Foreign
investors buying enterprises inside China should be in keeping with Chinese law,
regulations and rules as well. The buying activities should not lead to the
foreign investors holding the whole share of the enterprise, and foreign
investment is generally not less than 25 percent in the enterprise. Enditem
