ˇ@ˇ@According to the Anti-dumping
Regulations of the Peopleˇ¦s Republic of China, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and
Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) issued a notice on March 29, 2002, starting an
anti-dumping investigation on imported polyvinyl chloride (PVC) from the United
States, Republic of Korea, Japan, Russia and as well as the Taiwan area. The
investigated product is in customs import tariff No. 39041000, 2001 of the
Peopleˇ¦s Republic of China.
ˇ@ˇ@MOFTEC has made the investigation on
dumping, the range of dumping of the investigated products. State Economic and
Trade Commission has made the investigation on damage and the degree of damage
of the investigated products to domestic property. Approved by First Conference
of Tenth National Peopleˇ¦s Congress, the Ministry of Commerce will carry out the
anti-dumping investigation. The Ministry of Commerce has made tentative judgment
according to the investigation and Anti-dumping Regulations of the Peopleˇ¦s
Republic of China.

to the tentative judgment of the Ministry of Commerce, there was dumping of the
investigated product and it has caused substantive damage to the property of
Chinaˇ¦s mainland.

ˇ@ˇ@According to the Anti-dumping Regulations of the Peopleˇ¦s
Republic of China, the Ministry of Commerce has decided to take temporary
anti-dumping measures in cash margin. As of May 12 2003, importers should
provide relevant cash margin to the Customs of the Peopleˇ¦s Republic of China
according to above range of dumping when they import the investigated products
from the United States, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Russia and as well as
Taiwan area.
ˇ@ˇ@Related interested parties can provide written comment
and related evidence in 20 days after the Notice is issued. The Ministry of
