BEIJING, July 7 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao held talks here Monday afternoon with visiting President of the Republic of Korea (ROK) Roh Moo-hyun after their more than one hour close-door talks.

　　During the photo session, Hu said he believed that President Roh's China visit will enhance trust and understanding between the two nations and their people and promote bilateral relations in the new century.

　　Roh said they had extensive and in-depth discussions on the nuclear issue of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in the close-door talks, and he hoped the two sides will exchange views on bilateral relations in the talks.

　　The ROK side hoped to provide assistance to Beijing for its hosting the 2008 Olympic Games and Shanghai for the 2010 World Expo.
