¡@¡@SEOUL, July 10 (Xinhuanet) -- South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun returned
Thursday evening from his four-day state visit to China after reaching
agreements on forging a more comprehensive and cooperative bilateral
relationship.
¡@¡@Roh's visit was part of his summit diplomacy with four major powers regarding
DPRK (Democratic People's Republic of Korea)'s development of nuclear
weapons.
¡@¡@Roh held summit talks with US President George W. Bush in May, with
Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi in June and with Chinese President Hu
Jintao in July. He is scheduled to visit Russia for talks with President
Vladimir Putin next month.
¡@¡@During Roh's China visit, which is his first, South Korea and China
released a joint statement on bilateral ties and issues of common concern.
¡@¡@"The two countries vowed to build an 'all-round cooperative partnership' in
future, from which both our two sides can benefit," said Roh in a televised
speech upon his arrival in Seoul.
¡@¡@He also introduced that the two trade partners had discussed ways to
strengthen cooperation in automobile production, IT field,and environment
maintenance.
¡@¡@China and South Korea both hold that the DPRK nuclear issue should be
addressed among parties concern through peaceful means, Roh said in the speech.
¡@¡@Roh Moo-hyun wrapped up his visit to China and
returned here from Shanghai, the second leg of his China trip after Beijing.
