Deputy PM named Turkmenistan's interim president
ALMATY, Dec. 21 (Xinhua) -- Turkmenistan's Deputy Prime Minister Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov has been named interim president after the death of Saparmurat Niyazov early Thursday, the country's national security council announced.
