Huawei Spain launches fifth edition of its grant program for study in China

MADRID, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Huawei Spain said in a communique Friday that it is launching the fifth edition of its grant program that gives Spanish students the opportunity to study in China.

Fifteen university students who are in the second or third year of their studies in telecommunications, engineering or computer studies would be chosen for the program.

The program is part of Huawei Spain's initiatives under the company's "Creating Opportunities through Education" strategy and will allow the chosen applicants to visit the Huawei head offices in Shenzhen and Beijing, where they will take courses in cloud computing, big data and 3 and 4G networks.

Huawei has so far given 60 Spanish students the chance to study in China.
