Hainan- Resettlement construction of Changjiang nuclear power plant completed

    The Changjiang nuclear power plant—key project of national nuclear power plant and “energy sourceⅠ” project of Hainan province, has accomplished the construction of resettlement.

    The new Tangxing village, located in Haiwei town, Changjiang county, covers more than 55000 square meters of land. The project’s planed investment is 71 million yuan and all spent on the resettlement of villagers from ex-Haiwei village and ex-Jidi village, the workshop building of Changjiang nuclear power plant. After several months’ intensive construction, the resettlement has turned to the decoration stage.

    Soundbite: Li Gaoyuan (villager) “My former house is a 140-150 square meters’ tile-roofed house. Now we can live in a house of two storey. We have 6 people in our family; each has more than 30 square meters, totally 210 square meters. It’s great.”

    The Changjiang county government carried out resettlement with self-placement and masses temporary arrangement.

    Changjiang nuclear power plant costs more than 30 billion yuan. It will be put into use in 2014 and 2015.
