Suzhou Software Park Training Center and Alibaba Group, the world's largest e-commerce service provider, signed an agreement on July 9 in Hangzhou on the joint construction of the first high-level e-commerce talents training base in China. The planned base is to be completed in the coming September.

According to provisions of the agreement, the training base, by relying on the e-commerce training system of the training center and the rich resources of Alibaba, its advanced e-commerce education platform, and practical know-how, to undertake the work of authentication, talent training, technological service, employment guidance, corporate service, personnel credibility system, incubation, and certified education, etc. The construction of the training base will exert positive impact on the development of e-commerce in Suzhou and the rest of the Yangtze delta region.

Presently, more than 40,000 enterprises are benefiting from business opportunities through Alibaba E-commerce trading platform, and the total transactions have exceeded 50 billion RMB. The drastic growth of e-commerce in the region also shows acute shortage of talents, and in the next 3 years there will be a demand for 50,000 e-commerce personnel in Suzhou. The training base, upon completion, is expected to ease this situation effectively.
