BEIRUT, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon and Turkey signed on Monday a cooperation agreement to boost bilateral business ties, a statement by Beirut's Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture reported.

The agreement aims at allowing both countries to exchange capabilities in various sectors including industry, tourism, agriculture, investment, and energy.

It was signed online between Mohamad Choucair, head of the chamber, and Zaki Goversen, head of the Association of Independent Businessmen and Industrialists in Turkey.

"Despite the crisis prevailing in Lebanon, the private sector will exert its full efforts to prepare for the coming period with all its means," Choucair said.

Meanwhile, Goversen assured that the Turkish private sector is keen to increase its cooperation with the Lebanese counterpart.

"We are sure that this agreement will yield positive results," he said. Enditem
