New Zealand reports 6 new imported cases of COVID-19

WELLINGTON, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- New Zealand reported six new cases of COVID-19 detected in managed isolation facilities and no new community cases on Thursday.

All six cases were identified during routine testing around day 3 of their stay in managed isolation. One person arrived from the Netherlands via Singapore on Oct. 23, and four people arrived from India on Oct. 24. Details of the sixth person's arrival is still being worked on, according to the Ministry of Health.

Two previously reported cases are now considered to have recovered, bringing the total number of the country's active cases to 70, said a ministry statement.

New Zealand's total number of confirmed cases is now 1,593, it said. Enditem
